According to some news Instagram banned, and RussiaInstagram to be introduced soon. To cover the instagram gap, Russian IT entrepreneurs will launch applications like this.

According to the website for the programme, a new service called Rosgram will be released on March 28 and would include features such as crowdsourcing and accessing content by paying money, among other things.

Instagram banned RussiaInstagram to be introduced soon

The app's public relations director, Alexander Zuboff, said his colleague, Carril Flamnov, and his team of developers were already prepared for the events and didn't want to miss out on the chance to create a popular app-style Russian app. Russian state communications regulator Roscome Nidzor had banned access to Instagram from Monday.

Instagram banned the popular photography app RussiaInstagram in the name of safety and security amidst concerns that users could be entering into dangerous territory by using the Russian app instead of the approved Instagram app.

The Russian government has made an announcement that they will soon launch their own Russian version of Instagram, RussiaInstagram, which will be distributed through the Kremlin instead of via third party sources like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Why was Instagram Banned in Russia?

Instagram was banned in Russia for reasons that are as confusing as they are unclear. It’s still unclear whether Instagram will be coming back, or if there’s some better Russian alternative that we can access in its place, but here’s a bit of context.

In 2016, Facebook acquired Instagram for $1 billion and promised to keep it running independently from its core product. That didn’t sit well with Russian authorities, who blocked Instagram on their territory shortly after.
The ban came into effect on January 1st 2018, when Roskomnadzor (the Russian government body responsible for media regulation) announced that Instagram would no longer be accessible within Russia without a VPN service. As of now, Instagram is still inaccessible in Russia – though an app called VKontakte is being used by many Russians instead.

How does the new app work?

The app is similar to Instagram in function, yet with one major difference. The platform allows users to upload images, but not videos. The app will also block any photo that contains nudity and hosts no advertisements.

Instagram has stated that RussiaInstagram’s parent company has agreed not to sell user data, unlike Facebook, which owns Instagram. This announcement comes after Instagram was banned from Russia for violating local laws on internet advertising.

Instagram has since been unbanned by Russian authorities and will be allowed to continue operating inside of Russia. This announcement came shortly after it was announced that RussiaInstagram would be introduced soon to Russian consumers.

Will it be used for good or evil?

Widespread adoption of new platforms, technologies, and apps often leads to scandals, or worse. For instance, a Russian company created an app called FindFace that allows users to identify any stranger they see on the street.

The same app also uses facial recognition technology to find strangers’ accounts on Vkontakte, a popular social media site in Russia.

If you think about it, it’s kind of creepy—and yet people are using it anyway. This is just one example of how technology can be used for good or evil. It all depends on who is using it. Will Instagram be used for good or evil? We don’t know yet—but we do know that Instagram will soon be introduced in Russia! Stay tuned...

A rundown of the features

Users will be able to set their Instagram settings so that only people in their region can see content. This feature will be available on Android and iOS as part of a major update. Users who want everyone from everywhere to see their photos just have to log out of their regional settings and choose not to activate them again.

The new policy is expected to go into effect within weeks, according to Instagram’s terms of service, which state: If you open an account on Instagram, you must provide accurate information. It’s against our rules to use a fake name or operate under a false identity, and we ask account holders never to share their password with anyone else.

Is a ban coming to America?

It has been nearly a month since Instagram announced it would be banning all images of female breasts, and now there are rumors that Russia is about to follow suit. Despite being one of Instagram’s most popular photo-sharing apps, thousands have protested against its censorship of women’s bodies.

Amidst these protests, however, Russian lawmakers are considering similar measures as those taken by Facebook and Instagram in America. If they adopt similar policy changes soon after, we could see an instabanned app across America within months!

What would you do if this happened in your country?

If Instagram were banned in my country, I would try to bring it back. Banning a major social media platform is never going to be a good thing for those who want access and transparency.

Thus, I would try my best to lift that ban and encourage our government leaders not to make decisions like these. In addition, I would campaign for more freedom of speech; however, Russia is not known for its freedoms so bringing back Instagram may be rather difficult. However, we can hope!
