Important job duties

  1. According to infection control regulations, dispose of dirty or contaminated goods.
  2. Equipment should be promptly maintained, cleaned, and disinfected.
  3. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling infected or possibly contaminated equipment and/or supplies, and adhere to all other infection control protocols.
  4. Observe any safety warnings and usage guidelines provided by the maker of the disinfectant or sterilizing agent.
  5. Maintain a clean work space and adhere to any rules or procedures relating to infection control.
  6. Mark and cover cleaned equipment properly.
  7. As directed on the manufacturer's label, combine cleaning agents and diluted acids.
  8. When necessary, assist delivery drivers with setting up, loading, and unloading trucks and vans.
  9. Record all cleaning and disinfection activities using the proper forms, and organize all records.
  10. Continue to clean, maintain, and service any worn-out equipment.
  11. Help every morning with the loading of all filthy equipment into the appropriate location.
  12. Inquire with customer service about any returned rental equipment.
  13. Make sure that every day, all of the equipment in the filthy area is processed thoroughly and correctly.
  14. Ensure that every day the floors of the warehouse are cleaned and mopped.
  15. Finish all DME requirements training programmes, certification exams, and competency evaluations.
  16. Complete the oxygen refill processes, as well as appropriately document and log them.
  17. Inform the warehouse supervisor of any low equipment stock.
  18. Every year, review the emergency procedure policy.
  19. Always keep in mind to keep patient information secure when on the phone and in the field.
  20. When lifting any equipment, use good body mechanics.
  21. All equipment should be cleaned, given a 10-minute germicidal spray, and electrically tested.
  22. Always tidy up and arrange messy spaces.
  23. Every day, wash and dry all soiled rags.
